On Sunday, April 3, Porto Technology Co. Ltd. filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Cupertino, California-based multinational technology company Apple, Inc. The Korean company claims that Apple knowingly infringed on several patents, which the plaintiff claims it already owns.
In its legal complaint, Porto Technology stated it has accumulated losses and suffered from monetary damages as a result of Apple having infringed upon their patents. It alleges that Apple has knowingly sold and manufactured products that contain applications that directly infringe on the 518 and 413 patents that are licensed under Porto Technology.
